Organizing notes is one of the most important part of managing personal information. TaskScale uses the best practices to let you manage and access your information with ease. Tons of information. On multiple topics from your professional activity to personal life and hobbies.
The common problem TaskScale solves is navigating and keeping track of the numerous notes you have. Our layout gives you basic structural elements starting from which you can build your own hierarchy.
Where would you search for that tasty apple pie recipe? Just follow the structure intuitively:
Isn't it obvious?
To let you have some anchors in the ocean of notes we introduced the two top levels of the layout hierarchy: Areas and Workspaces.
Areas are the top level element. The core areas of your live go there. Most common areas people use are: Work, Home, Family, Health, Business. Some big project, usually years long project, can also be put in areas.
Workspaces are the subdivisions of the areas. The next level of your structure. For example, the Home area can have workspaces:
If the Area gets too many Workspaces consider splitting it into 2 or more areas.
Outline is the place where your actual data lives. When you already heave Area and Workspace you can organize notes in the way that are most convenient and clear for you. Outline allows you to nest notes one under another (using TAB key) making a hierarchy. It is the powerful way of keeping lots of notes in a compact format. When you open a workspace you see the top-level items of your outline. Then you can decide which branch fit best for your note, or create a new one.
Soft Links allow you add a link to another part of your outline. It's actual location remains unchanged, but you can see end edit(!) the content of the notes from the other part of your structure.
Of course, you need to put some effort into organizing your notes nicely. As anywhere in your life: if you want your house to be organized you put every thing on it's place. The shampoo is in the bathroom, milk is in the fridge and kids' toys are in the kids room (ha-ha).
And review it. From time to time go through your notes to see if things need to be re-organized.
Believe me, It's a separate feeling of satisfaction, when you have checked everything, put in order. It gives you clarity, satisfaction and motivation boost to start executing!
