Capture Notes

Collecting information is one of the important parts of the personal information flow: Capture, Organize, Execute.

TaskScale gives you a number of ways to capture data.

Inbox page

The most popular tool when you just need to store some data. Usually it is a link to a website, a chunk of text you copied or just a phone number.

A dedicated Inbox page works as a standard outline in the TaskScale, allowing you to pre-organize data before moving it to the right place in your structure.

Email to Inbox

As the title says it allows you to send and email to the predefined address and the email subject and body appear in you Inbox. It is a convenient tool when working in your email client, just send/forward an email to the Inbox address.

It is also useful if you are into the email automation, Tools like ITTT can be configured to send the emails on some event.

And there is even more. With our latest feature you can now send the email directly to any node in your outline!

Browser plugin

This tool is useful when you are browsing around the internet. When you find a useful website or a good quote you want to store, it is often distracting to open another browser tab to just put it there and then go back to the original page. Here the browser plugin helps. Just click the plugin button and add the text you want to store, or click a button to save the URL of the page.

The Outline

But besides these great tools TaskScale itself is a tool to capture notes. When working through brainstorming, considering some plans or just dumping your brain TaskScale is great to simply put down lines of text one by one. And with it's intuitively simple outline you can easily group ideas into sub-nodes, making hierarchy of your thoughts on the go.
